As a Carbon Management Specialist, you will manage the development and execution of carbon reduction strategies across various departments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement carbon capture technologies, ensuring compliance with regulations and advancing the organisation’s carbon-neutral ambitions. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement carbon management strategies aligned with organisational sustainability goals.
  • Identify and execute carbon reduction opportunities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with teams to integrate carbon management into daily operations, focusing on energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
  • Evaluate and research new carbon capture technologies to stay ahead of industry advancements.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders to evaluate the success of carbon management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with government bodies, environmental groups, and industry leaders to advocate for scalable carbon management policies.
  • Track and analyse the impact of regulations, incentives, and government partnerships on carbon management efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance on best practices in carbon capture, advising teams on emerging strategies and technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • At least 5 to 7 years of experience in carbon management, sustainability, or environmental policy.
  • Strong technical knowledge of carbon capture technologies and emissions reduction methods.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and work with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Experience with carbon management software, sustainability frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol), and certifications is an asset.
  • A deep passion for environmental sustainability and climate action.
