Job Responsibilities
- Create and execute tailored environmental management strategies, focusing on reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainability across projects.
- Conduct carbon baseline assessments and provide forecasting to inform sustainable decisions during both preconstruction and delivery phases.
- Ensure compliance with UK environmental regulations, including carbon reduction standards and environmental management systems (ISO 14001, PAS 2080).
- Provide expert advice and collaborate with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders to integrate environmental strategies into project planning and execution.
- Manage the reporting of sustainability metrics, including carbon data, emissions, and waste reduction, using industry-standard tools like OneClick LCA or similar software.
- Conduct regular site audits to assess environmental compliance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead the development of training programs for project teams, ensuring the consistent application of environmental best practices.
- Drive ongoing improvements in environmental processes, providing recommendations for advancing sustainability efforts across projects.
- Work closely with engineers, planners, and managers to ensure environmental considerations are integrated at every stage of the project lifecycle, from design to execution.
