Job Responsibilities
- Carbon Credit Trading: Identify, negotiate, and execute trading opportunities within the voluntary carbon market, focusing on high-quality carbon credits and strategic back-to-back deals globally, including the voluntary markets in the UK, Europe, the US, and Asia.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project developers, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and trading houses.
- Market Research and Analysis: Continuously assess market trends, regulatory developments, and evolving industry dynamics to ensure the business stays ahead in the carbon market. Provide clients with relevant market intelligence and insights.
- Deal Negotiation and Execution: Oversee the entire deal lifecycle from identifying potential counterparties to executing contracts and ensuring compliance with market standards.
- Strategy Development and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and refine market strategies that align with client needs and company objectives.
- Risk Management: Apply a structured approach to risk management throughout the trading process, ensuring high-quality transactions and client satisfaction.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the organisation at industry events and forums to strengthen relationships with key players and enhance the organisation’s profile in the carbon trading market.
