Job Description

A leading international energy company in the sustainable power generation industry is seeking an Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to join its operations in the Netherlands. The Offshore Wind Turbine Technician will be part of a highly skilled service team, performing essential maintenance and ensuring the continuous safe operation of offshore wind turbines. This is a role for experienced professionals who thrive in challenging environments and want to contribute directly to Europe’s renewable energy future.

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on offshore wind turbines and associated systems.
  • Diagnose technical issues and perform corrective actions across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct inspections and testing, recording findings in compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Collaborate with contractors, manufacturers, and colleagues to optimise turbine performance.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures and contribute to a safety-first workplace culture.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and report technical issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification (MBO level or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or wind energy engineering.
  • Minimum of  5 years’ relevant work experience in offshore operations, heavy industry, or renewable energy maintenance.
  • Valid Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certifications and offshore medical clearance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in offshore environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of turbine systems, including hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical components.
  • High level of physical fitness and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and confident, working in demanding offshore conditions.
  • Comfortable at sea and not afraid of heights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch language skills considered an advantage.
