Renewable Energy Investment Manager, Infrastructure Fund, London, UK

We are partnering with a leading infrastructure fund specialising in renewable energy investments. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Investment Manager to join their team based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving sustainable energy projects and contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of renewable energy investment opportunities across various technologies, such as solar, wind, and battery storage.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential projects, including financial analysis, risk assessment, market analysis, and regulatory review.
Develop and maintain financial models to assess project economics, returns, and cash flow projections.
Prepare investment proposals, including investment memoranda, presentations, and other relevant documentation to present to internal investment committees and external stakeholders.
Manage the negotiation and execution of transaction agreements, working closely with legal, technical, and financial advisors.
Monitor and manage the performance of the renewable energy portfolio, including ongoing monitoring of financial and operational metrics, identifying value enhancement opportunities, and implementing risk management strategies.
Manage, mentor, and guide junior team members by offering support, sharing knowledge, and assisting them in their professional growth.
Stay up to date with industry trends, government policies, and market dynamics impacting renewable energy investments, providing insights and recommendations to optimize investment strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Renewable Energy, Engineering). Advanced degree preferred.
Strong experience in renewable energy project finance and investment management, preferably within an infrastructure fund or investment firm.
Deep knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record of originating, structuring, and executing successful renewable energy investments.
Strong financial modelling skills and ability to conduct complex financial analysis and valuation.
Excellent understanding of project finance principles, including debt and equity structures, risk assessment, and cash flow modelling.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to identify and assess investment risks and opportunities.
Passion for renewable energy and commitment to driving the transition to a sustainable and low-carbon future.
