Job Description

EnableGreen is pleased to support our client in their search for a highly skilled and motivated Solar Project Manager to join their growing team in Los Angeles. In this impactful role, you will oversee the management of solar energy projects from inception through to completion, ensuring high performance and successful project delivery. You will manage multiple solar installations, liaise with stakeholders, lead project teams, and ensure that all projects meet safety, budget, and timeline objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in solar project management, with deep expertise in solar technologies and a proven ability to deliver projects successfully. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the renewable energy transition and help advance the use of solar energy in a rapidly evolving industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of solar energy projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and external vendors, to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA70E).
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate project feasibility and identify any technical or logistical challenges.
  • Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
  • Track project milestones and ensure that high-quality standards are met while achieving performance goals.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise procurement of materials and subcontractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring optimal cost management.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, provide updates on progress, and resolve any issues as they arise.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in solar project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering solar installations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar technologies, including photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage.
  • In-depth understanding of industry regulations and safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA70E.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and solid knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues on-site in real-time.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.
