We are seeking a commercially astute Chief Financial Officer to join a mission-driven private equity platform investing exclusively in clean energy infrastructure. With capital already deployed across solar, wind, storage, and decarbonisation assets, this is a rare opportunity to take a seat at the leadership table and shape the financial framework of a firm, enabling the global shift to net zero.

As CFO, you will lead the finance function during a high-growth period marked by strategic consolidation, institutional capital inflow, and preparation for long-term liquidity events. You will act as a key business partner to the CEO and Investment Committee, playing a central role in driving value creation across both fund and platform levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the group’s financial strategy in alignment with long-term investment objectives
  • Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing, tax, and compliance
  • Lead investor reporting and capital call management for multiple private equity vehicles
  • Implement standardised financial controls and processes across the platform and portfolio companies
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on M&A, divestitures, and debt structuring
  • Manage relationships with limited partners, lenders, legal advisors, and auditors
  • Build and mentor a lean, high-performing finance team ready to scale
  • Support the CEO and board on strategic and financial decision-making

Qualifications

The Finance Leader We Are Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with strong financial leadership credentials
  • Proven CFO or Finance Director level experience within private equity, infrastructure funds, or energy investment
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project finance, fund structuring, and investor governance
  • Experience creating scalable financial systems and reporting structures across business units
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging at the Board and LP level
  • Detail-oriented and proactive leader with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset

Compensation

$ 250,000 – $ 300,000, plus performance-based bonus, carried interest, and long-term equity participation.
