Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic ESG Reporting Manager to join one of Europe’s fastest-growing consumer goods retailers. In this critical role, you will oversee the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the client‘s ESG reporting strategy. Reporting directly to the Head of ESG, you will ensure that the company remains compliant with evolving regulatory standards while driving meaningful sustainability initiatives. As a forward-thinking professional, you will work with internal teams and external stakeholders to align ESG data and reporting with the latest industry trends and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement ESG Reporting Strategy: Lead the creation and execution of the ESG reporting framework, ensuring alignment with key standards such as CSRD, NFRD, ESRS, and EU Taxonomy.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data across all European operations, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of changes in ESG regulations and standards, adjusting the reporting strategy as required to meet evolving requirements.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Act as the primary point of contact for ESG reporting matters, working closely with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Internal Control and Assurance: Establish and maintain an effective system of internal controls over ESG data, promoting transparency and reliability in reporting.
  • Enhance Reporting Processes: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and automation of ESG reporting tasks to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Integrate ESG into Decision-Making: Work with senior leadership to integrate ESG considerations into business decisions, financial strategies, and corporate objectives
  • Prepare Stakeholder Reports: Produce and manage ESG analysis and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and customers.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in ESG reporting, sustainability, or corporate responsibility within a multinational or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, including CSRD, NFRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and other relevant regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing the end-to-end ESG reporting process, including data collection, analysis, and external assurance.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and interpretation.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, auditors, and regulators.
  • Experience with ESG reporting software and tools is a plus.
  • A degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
