Green Hydrogen Project Manager

Our client, a leading innovator in the clean energy sector, is seeking a passionate and results-driven Green Hydrogen Project Manager to join their dynamic team in London. This pivotal role will involve managing the end-to-end lifecycle of green hydrogen projects, from initial planning through to execution and delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful deployment of green hydrogen solutions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the clean energy transition, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that support the UK’s decarbonisation targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of green hydrogen projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, project partners, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of project implementation, including system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Track project performance using KPIs and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior project staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the renewable energy sector, ideally in hydrogen or related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge of hydrogen production technologies, including electrolyzers and fuel cells.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges.
  • A degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as required to project sites and partner locations.

  • Base Salary: £75,000 – £90,000 per annum, depending on experience
