Job Description

Our client, a respected consulting firm, is seeking an enthusiastic Sustainability Consultant to join their team in Paris. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level professional who is passionate about sustainable business practices and wants to play a key role in helping clients transition to more sustainable operations. The firm works across multiple sectors, including manufacturer, industries and retail and services supporting them in integrating sustainability principles into their business models.

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will assist clients in understanding and implementing Sustainability strategies, complying with regulations, and embedding ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria into operational strategies.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Sustainability Strategy Development: Support clients in developing and implementing CSR strategies, including conducting materiality analyses, promoting responsible innovation, and helping them integrate sustainability into their business models.
  • Sustainability Integration: Help clients understand and comply with regulations such as the CSRD and EU Taxonomy, supporting them in integrating ESG criteria into their operation.
  • Operational Strategy and CSR Governance: Assist clients with the implementation of CSR governance frameworks and responsible digital practices. Support the integration of sustainability and social responsibility issues, including diversity, equity, and business ethics, into their operations.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with senior consultants and the wider team in the delivery of sustainability-focused projects. Provide support in responding to tenders and contributing to sustainability-related content (articles, podcasts, webinars).
  • Content Creation and Communication: Contribute to internal knowledge sharing by helping produce content for the firm’s Sustainability Area of Excellence, including expert features, roundtables, and interviews.
  • Mentorship: Support junior consultants and colleagues, contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Business, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in CSR, sustainability consulting, or
  • Familiarity with key sustainability regulations and frameworks, such as EU Taxonomy, and the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
  • Strong understanding of ESG principles and how they can be integrated into business and financial products.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex sustainability topics clearly and effectively.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
