Job Description

A forward-thinking consultancy company in the energy and sustainability sector is seeking a Renewable Energy Engineer to support the delivery of innovative projects in the Occitanie region and across France. The organisation partners with regional authorities, energy developers, and industry leaders to create solutions that accelerate the clean energy transition.

This role provides the opportunity to contribute to large-scale renewable projects in one of France’s most advanced energy regions. Based in Toulouse, you will be involved in technical studies, project engineering, and client advisory work spanning solar, biomass, geothermal, and district heating and cooling systems.

It is a role designed for engineers who want to combine technical expertise with impact-driven work that supports national climate and energy objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional energy strategies, including resource mapping and master planning.
  • Carry out feasibility studies for solar, geothermal, biomass, solar thermal, and waste heat recovery projects.
  • Provide project engineering support and manage the delivery of renewable energy and recovery (EnR&R) projects, including network infrastructure.
  • Assess operational performance of heating and cooling networks, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Lead or contribute to collaborative R&D initiatives with academic, industrial, and public partners.
  • Act as a technical consultant to clients, ensuring all recommendations align with ESG and sustainability frameworks. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in renewable energy project development, engineering, or consultancy.
  • Proven knowledge of renewable systems and energy networks.
  • Experience working with municipalities, public procurement processes, or regional energy strategies.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in French; English skills are a strong advantage.
