Job Description

A leading boutique consulting firm focused on sustainability is seeking a highly experienced LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) Senior Advisor to join their dynamic team in London. This consultancy works with organisations in the manufacturing and consumer goods industries to help them understand and reduce their environmental footprint through strategic and data-driven sustainability practices.

As an LCA Senior Advisor, the candidate will lead the development and delivery of life cycle analysis (LCA) projects, ensuring clients receive detailed, scientifically grounded, and actionable insights into the environmental impacts of their products, services, and processes. This role will involve working with a diverse portfolio of clients, all of whom are committed to advancing their sustainability agendas.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage LCA projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct life cycle assessments for a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing and consumer goods, utilising software tools such as GaBi, SimaPro, or OpenLCA.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on sustainability strategies, carbon footprint reduction, and environmental impact optimisation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability analysis into product development and business decision-making.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging standards in environmental impact assessment.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, fostering long-term partnerships and promoting the firm’s sustainability consulting services.
  • Develop thought leadership materials, including white papers, presentations, and research articles, to showcase the firm’s expertise in sustainability.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client meetings, to drive new opportunities.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field. A post-graduate qualification is desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting Life Cycle Analysis, with a proven track record in delivering LCA projects across the manufacturing and consumer goods industries.
  • Strong proficiency in LCA software tools such as GaBi, SimaPro, or OpenLCA.
  • In-depth knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and carbon footprinting.
  • Experience in managing teams and mentoring junior consultants.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-experts.
  • A passion for sustainability and making a positive environmental impact.
