Climate and ESG Director , Consulting, Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a robust ESG strategy that enhances  sustainability performance and aligns with global best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into the business operations, products, and services.
  • Monitor and assess climate-related risks and opportunities, providing insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry associations, to stay abreast of evolving ESG trends and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the creation of transparent and accurate ESG disclosures and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives related to sustainability and climate awareness, fostering a culture of responsibility and action.
  • Represent the organisation in relevant industry forums, conferences, and events, enhancing our thought leadership in the ESG and climate space.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing ESG strategies within the financial services or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of climate-related risks and opportunities, as well as experience in climate risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting frameworks, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and CDP.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate ESG initiatives into tangible business value.
  • Leadership experience in driving change and fostering a culture of sustainability.
