Job Description

Our client is a prominent energy investor with a significant presence in the MENA region and globally. They are renowned for their innovative approach and a diverse portfolio encompassing solar, wind, and thermal power projects. With an exciting array of ventures in the pipeline, they stand as one of the region’s largest energy investors. Our client is seeking a Project Finance, Energy Infrastructure Investment to join their team.​

Job Responsibilities

In this multifaceted role, you will spearhead key responsibilities spanning corporate finance, strategy development, fundraising, and investor relations:

Strategy:

  • Lead and contribute to business development initiatives that drive growth.
  • Conduct comprehensive industry research analysis, encompassing operating and strategic benchmarking.
  • Deliver monthly macro screens to steer informed decision-making.

Corporate Finance:

  • Vigilantly monitor and analyze debt and equity capital markets.
  • Play a pivotal role in structuring financing actions, leveraging your financial acumen.

Fundraising & Investor Relations:

  • Act as a crucial liaison between investors and various business units.
  • Skillfully prepare regular results presentations tailored for investor meetings.
  • Craft engaging marketing materials, pitch books, and conduct financial analysis to support fundraising and development meetings.
  • Offer strategic insights and recommendations for results presentations.

Qualifications

The perfect candidate should bring 5 to 9 years of experience, ideally within project/structured finance or investment banking advisory. Key qualifications and attributes include:

  • A profound understanding of the power sector, underpinned by hands-on experience.
  • Prior involvement in debt origination and execution is imperative.
  • A proven track record in transaction structuring, particularly in emerging markets.
  • A high degree of proficiency in market analytics and financial statement analysis, adept at assessing potential opportunities and risks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitating robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as management teams.
