Job Description

EnableGreen is partnering with a high-growth multinational organisation in the clean energy sector in Dubai to appoint a strategic and experienced ESG Director to lead the design and implementation of its group-wide ESG agenda. Reporting directly to the C-suite, the ESG Director will act as a strategic advisor and internal change agent, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving transparency, and positioning the organisation as a regional leader in responsible business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a long-term ESG strategy aligned with the organisation’s values, business objectives, and regional regulatory frameworks.
  • Review and lead internal ESG governance structures, including executive steering committees and board-level reporting processes.
  • Oversee ESG disclosures and regulatory reporting, including alignment with frameworks like GRI, ISSB, CSRD, and TCFD.
  • Manage the annual measurement, verification, and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Lead the roadmap towards net-zero targets and energy transition goals.
  • Partner with departments such as operations, supply chain, legal, HR, and marketing to embed ESG criteria into decision-making, procurement, risk management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Develop ESG data infrastructure to ensure transparency, auditability, and integrity. Coordinate with internal audit teams and external assurance providers.
  • Monitor developments in regional and global ESG regulations, and prepare the organisation for compliance with UAE, EU, and international sustainability reporting obligations.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for ESG-related stakeholders, including investors, regulators, community leaders, and sustainability rating agencies.
  • Lead the publication of the company’s annual ESG report and support investor relations, PR, and marketing teams on sustainability-related communications.
  • Drive ESG awareness across the organisation through employee training, leadership workshops, and change management programmes.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or strategic role
  • Proven experience managing ESG reporting aligned to GRI, TCFD, or ISSB
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting principles, climate risk disclosure, and regulatory frameworks in the MENA or EU region
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery skills


Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Policy, or a related field
  • Experience in the clean energy, infrastructure, real estate, or financial services sector
  • Professional certifications such as ISSP, GARP SCR®, or CFA ESG

Base Salary & Benefits

 

  • Annual Salary: AED 600,000 depending on experience and qualifications
  • Performance-related bonus

  • End-of-service benefits as per UAE Labour Law
