Sustainability Manager, FMCG, Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the company’s ESG strategy, aligning it with global sustainability best practices and the company’s business goals.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, customers, suppliers, and local communities, to drive sustainable initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental sustainability efforts, including reducing carbon footprint, optimizing resource use, and implementing sustainable supply chain practices.
  • Champion social responsibility initiatives, including diversity and inclusion programs, ethical labor practices, and community engagement projects.
  • Ensure the company adheres to ethical governance standards and regulatory compliance related to ESG reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive ESG reports and disclosures, providing transparency to stakeholders and investors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in sustainability and ESG strategy development, preferably in the FMCG or related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of global sustainability frameworks, reporting standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD), and ESG trends.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in working in a multicultural and diverse environment.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
